Winner: MOGO award (Music of Ginger Origin) Best Newcomer 2016… Yes, really!
£12.50 / £10.50 Conc / £5.50 students
Gary Lamont, the scissor-wielding star of BBC's River City and Scotland's favourite sassy strawberry blonde hairdresser, was once a wee boy from Castlemilk struggling with ginger-vitis. Now you're invited to Gary's salon as he dons his fanta pants to sing the songs of his fellow redheads, from Cilla to Sonia and Lulu to Bette.
In What A Riddy! expect funny stories, sing-along tunes and maybe a washout apricot rinse (if he’s got time after tinting his pal Donna’s HD brows).
Gary Lamont is from Castlemilk in Glasgow and is best known for his role as hairdresser turned pub landlord Robbie Fraser in the BBC Scotland soap opera River City, a role which he’s played for eight years. He’s also appeared in Rebus and Still Game and is a graduate of the RSAMD. Gary Lamont: What a Riddy! was his Edinburgh festival fringe debut and had a sold out run at the Edinburgh Playhouse Boards in August 2016. He won a MOGO Award (Music of Ginger Origin) as Best Newcomer for his work on the show.
