Sonata For A Man And A Boy

Created by Greg Sinclair, Michael Sherin and Karen Tennent. Produced by Macrobert Arts Centre

Who says you’ve got to act your age, not your shoe size?

Sonata for a Man and a Boy is a duet featuring live cello music, chat and movement. An everyday cello lesson becomes a journey into the unexpected for a boy who’s nearly twelve and a thirty-something man. As their roles shift and change and the lesson is turned on its head we begin to wonder: do we ever really grow up?

“Gentle, whimsical but nonetheless genuinely profound… further showings would be welcome” **** - Mary Brennan, The Herald
