Macrobert Arts Centre will reopen its doors on Mon 17 May. We’re delighted to welcome audiences back and we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure your visit is a safe and enjoyable one.
 
In line with current Government Guidelines, our cinema programme will resume first. To view what we are showcasing at the venue when you plan to attend, please visit our What’s On listings. We look forward to sharing a diverse, fun
and vibrant line-up for everyone to enjoy.
 
Pre-booking your tickets is recommended in order to select your preferred seat and to save time queuing. When you arrive don’t forget to bring your face mask (unless exempt). Our team will be on hand to make you feel welcome and the
experience comfortable but please do take time to watch our short video and read the FAQs below that will give guidance on what procedures and measures Macrobert Arts Centre has put in place to keep you and our staff safe.

Frequently Asked Questions

Booking

We encourage everyone to book their tickets in advance, either online or over the phone (01786 466666) to minimise waiting times. In person bookings are only available 15 minutes prior to the advestised start time of your film screening.

Our Box Office is open for phone bookings at the following times: Wk/c 10th May - 12-5pm, Wk/c 17th May 12-7.30pm. In person bookings can only be made 15 minutes prior to the advertised start time of your film screening

Although you can purchase tickets upon arrival, we would encourage everyone to book their tickets in advance, either online or over the phone, to minimise waiting times.

As per guidance issued by the Scottish Government on 6 May, 2021 Social distancing must be maintained between people who do not live together or share a bubble.We therefore ask that groups or individuals from different households book separately and in different seating banks to maintain social distancing.

Tickets booked online or over the phone will be emailed to you for you to print at home or show on your smartphone. If neither of these options are possible, you will still be able to collect your tickets from our box office 15 minutes before the advertised start time of your film screening

Your Visit

Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to your advertised screening time. Entrances/exits for each space will be clearly marked and our staff will be on hand to guide you

The wearing of face coverings is mandatory whilst in Macrobert and during your film screening, unless you are in a exempted category. Face coverings can be removed in the auditorium whilst eating and drinking

Yes. Hand sanitiser is provided throughout the venue, outside all auditoriums and toilets

As per government guidelines, now have to record contact details from all visitors. It’s very easy to do and our team will be on hand to help. If you don’t have a smartphone with you, please make sure you have a note of your email address and phone number to hand. This information will only be shared with NHS Test and Protect

Depending on attendance at your screening, you may have to queue for a short period of time. We have safe, socially distanced queuing in place.

We encourage everyone to arrive prior to the advertised start time of their screening. However, late comers will be permitted up to 30 minutes after the advertised screening time. Should you be running late, please make yourself know to a member of staff on arrival who will guide you to your seat.

Yes. Food and drink can be purchased from our Kiosk however, this may only be consumed with in the auditorium.

Although contactless is our preferred method of payment, we do still accept cash.

We ask everyone respects 2m social distancing when in Macrobert.

Toilets are available throughout your visit. We ask that you respect any social distancing measures that are in place.

You will be permitted into the venue no earlier 15 minutes prior to the advertised start time of your screening. After you screening, we ask that you make your way directly to the exit to aid social distancing measures within the venue. A member of staff will be on hand to guide you.

The venue is cleaned on a constant basis. We also perform a deep clean of our auditorium prior to the start of every screening.

Other Frequently Asked Questions

Macrobert is currently only open for film screenings at this time. To help aid social distancing measure, the cafe bar will not be open during your visit.
