Central Scotland Documentary Festival 2026

The Central Scotland Documentary Festival returns from Thursday 5 – Monday 9 November 2026, bringing five days of bold storytelling, powerful conversations and unforgettable non-fiction cinema to audiences across the region.

CSDF celebrates real stories and radical voices — championing filmmakers who challenge perspectives, amplify underrepresented experiences and explore the world with honesty and imagination. From intimate character studies to urgent investigative features, the festival showcases documentary in all its forms, connecting audiences with stories that matter.

Whether you are a long-time supporter or joining us for the first time, CSDF 2026 promises thought-provoking screenings, filmmaker Q&As, industry events and opportunities to connect with Scotland’s vibrant documentary community.
