Marina, a transgender woman who works as a waitress and moonlights as a nightclub singer, comes under suspicion when her much older boyfriend dies. As the circumstances surrounding his death are made out to be suspicious Marina comes into conflict with both the man’s family and the authorities, forcing her to fight not only to clear her name, but for the one thing she demands above all - respect.
