Tokyo Godfathers - On Christmas Eve, three homeless people living on the streets of Tokyo find a newborn baby among the trash and set out to find its parents.

Professor Darren Ashmore will deliver Japan Week’s keynote lecture on “An introduction to Japan through anime and pop culture”. The talk will be held at 6pm on Tuesday 23 February in the Pathfoot Lecture Theatre, Pathfoot Building, University of Stirling. Originally from the UK, Darren Ashmore is a Professor of Anthropology and Director of Japan Studies at iCLA, Yamanashi Gakuin University, Japan. Professor Darren Ashmore will also introduce Tokyo Godfathers at 7.15pm at Macrobert Arts Centre.
