Based on the novel by Ian McEwan and starring Saoirse Ronan, Emily Watson and Anne-Marie Duff, this film is set in England in 1962. Edward and Florence have just gotten married and are enjoying a modest honeymoon as they gradually get to know each other. They have very little relationship experience between them and are preoccupied and scared of the intimacy of marriage, which casts a shadow on what should be a happy time for the young couple.
