A relaxed afternoon developed in consultation with people living with dementia and their loved ones.
Cost: £5 (Assisting companion goes for free)
Every month we host a relaxing afternoon event that's been developed in consultation with people with dementia and their companions / loved ones. These events are also suitable for anyone who prefers a more relaxed atmosphere. With live entertainment and refreshments, the programme changes every month, but varies to include dance, film, music and / or storytelling - and of course a cup of tea/coffee and biscuits! Suggestions for future events are always welcome.
Graham Rorie and Aidan Moodie (Guitar and Fiddle) are a fantastic folk duo, originally hailing from Orkney, the pair perform traditional tunes (both from "up home" in Orkney and further afield), self-penned numbers, and contemporary folk songs through an intimate combination of fiddle, guitar, mandolin, and voice. In 2015, they won a coveted Danny Kyle Award at Celtic Connections, also reaching the semi-finals of the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award the following year.
'Aidan and Graham are superb musicians, not only that, they combine as a superb duo.' - FOLK RADIO UK
