Handmade Festive Edition 2024: Gifts by Scotland’s Artists & Makers - Terms & Conditions

We require applicants to:

[1] provide a product range of up to 15 items (this means up to 15 of one design OR 15 different items, duplicates of smaller items, eg greetings cards, are welcome) to be held and managed by Macrobert Arts Centre.

[2] deliver your product range to Macrobert Arts Centre between Sat 09 and Wed 13 Nov, to be displayed, held and managed by Macrobert.

[3] complete & submit an itemised stock list using the template Excel document that will be provided, prior to delivering your products.

[4] deliver your products with an item code & price affixed to every individual stock item as referenced on the stock list. The price should be visible on display. Use your artist/business initials and add an item number e.g. AA01. Duplicates, including cards, should be coded similarly including the duplicate number e.g. AA01 1/10, AA01 2/10

[5] work with the Macrobert team to ensure that the pricing of pieces is managed efficiently and effectively, from experience we suggest a ceiling of £150.00 (this is not fixed).

[6] give permission for products to be photographed by Macrobert for promotional purposes.

[7] support the promotion of Handmade by engaging with Macrobert on social media.

[8] provide up to 5 high and low resolution images for use on the Macrobert website and social media posts.

[10] At point of application, send up to 5 images of products for consideration to events@macrobertartscentre.org

- Macrobert Arts Centre will not accept liability for damage or loss to stock.

- Macrobert Arts Centre proceed on the understanding that the Artist holds any copyright permissions that may be required for products provided for sale. Macrobert Arts Centre accepts no liability for this.

- Payment for exhibition artwork will be processed through Macrobert Arts Centre payment systems only. Macrobert will retain a 30% commission rate on all sales. There will be no fixed charge to exhibit.

- We reserve the right to refuse products that are not coded & priced when delivered and/or accompanied with an itemised stock list as detailed above.

- Products cannot be removed or replenished without prior notice of at least 24 hours, mid-week. Products cannot be left with staff unless otherwise agreed by the organiser/s. Do not provide additional stock without prior consent as we will not accept responsibility for this.

- The space is unsupervised and we regularly have children using the venue who explore and play unsupervised. We ask that you consider the health and safety implications of anything within reach of small children, as well as the possibility of your work being handled by them.

- Allocation of space and placement of artwork in display stands are at the discretion of Macrobert staff. In addition to Arthouse there may be display spaces made available throughout the public spaces.

- Macrobert will carry out marketing and promotional activity to support and build the success of the exhibition, including a range of digital communications and inclusion in any Christmas at Macrobert press activity. We will use the information and images you provide and any links to your own websites/social media. Successful artists and makers are encouraged to publicise the exhibition and craft sale in their own networks and include Macrobert social handles.

- Artwork does not need to have a seasonal or Christmas theme. For reference, the Christmas shows this year at Macrobert are Snow White and Santa's Magical Lighthouse.
