Macrobert is the arts centre for Stirling & the Forth Valley and a cultural hub for Scotland. It offers a huge variety of activities with over 400 live performances of drama, comedy, music, opera, dance, film, musical theatre and art exhibitions throughout the year
We have a great track record of hosting student events and offer student groups the unique opportunity to perform in our range of professional spaces. With a dedicated events team and skilled technicians at your disposal, we can help to make your student event a success.

Our Spaces
The Mainhouse
Our auditorium can accommodate up to 460. The space is ideal for performances and talks/presentations alike. As well using the full theatre seating, the stage can be curtained off to provide the perfect gig venue with raised staging and standing room for 280.
The Mainhouse normally costs £1,995+VAT to hire for a performance but with the 70% Clubs & Societies discount this is reduced significantly to £598.50+VAT. As a club/society it is entirely up to you what price you set tickets at. Macrobert operate the box office for your event at no additional charge.
The Workhouse
Our dance studio can accommodate a variety of events ranging from rehearsal space to talks/presentations and workshops though to drinks receptions. The room can seat up to 50 with a mix of layouts available (boardroom, theatre, classroom, U-shape, etc.)
With portable AV including a projector and screen, it is also a great private space for a gaming or quiz night. The Workhouse costs £35+VAT per hour to hire but when the clubs/societies discount is applied it comes in at the quite competitive price of £10.50+VAT per hour.
The Treehouse
Very similar to the Workhouse, the Treehouse is a bright and open space, perfect for hosting club/society meetings in.
The Treehouse costs £30+VAT per hour to hire but is offered to clubs and societies at £9+VAT per hour.
The Workhouse and Treehouse are separated by a sliding partition which can be opened up for larger events.
The Arthouse
With its own private bar, our versatile exhibition space is ideal for drinks receptions and small parties. In most instances (depending on availability) this is offered to clubs and societies free of charge.
