Following a successful year-round offering, the Festive edition of Handmade is returning to fill Macrobert to the brim with last-minute quality Christmas gifts - opening on Sat 23 Nov 2024 until Sun 05 Jan 2025.  

Over the festive season since 2015, Macrobert has hosted a sale of quality affordable Artworks and Crafts alongside our busy festive programme with a footfall of more than 50,000 visitors. This offers our audiences an opportunity to purchase original gifts whilst giving Artists and Makers access to new markets and additional sales.  

Is this for you? 

Macrobert would like to receive submissions from independent practitioners based in Scotland with original, high-quality work to sell. We actively encourage applications from practitioners at various stages; part-time makers to professional artists and are particularly interested in work that supports environmentally friendly practice and/or materials. Previous popular items have included: mosaics, jewellery, framed applique, framed & unframed artworks/prints, textiles, upcycled crafts and homewares, cards, and festive decorations across a range of price points. 

The festive programme at Macrobert for 2024 centres around Snow White and Santa’s Magical Lighthouse.  

The deadline for submissions is noon on Wed 16 Oct 2024.
