Baby Cinema Opportunity

We're looking to start Baby Cinema Screenings here at Macrobert Arts Centre! The aim of these screenings is to give parents the opportunity to get out and socialise without the worry of their children, well, being children! These screenings are for parents or guardians and their baby (12 months and under), so there's no need to worry about disturbing others during the film. Our first Baby Cinema Screening will take place on Wed 8 Aug. Come along, watch a film and stay for an informal chat afterwards, to tell us how we can make Baby Cinema work for you.

Mental Health Awareness Week

We’re marking Mental Health Awareness Week with a show that puts a spotlight on the often taboo subject of anxiety – Don’t Panic! It’s Challenge Anneka. With 1 in 4 people being affected by mental illness it is so important for people to feel comfortable talking about it and this roller coaster of a one-woman show does just that - while channelling the spirit of someone for whom no challenge is too big (Anneka Rice)!

The Big Lunch

We’re getting involved the UK's annual neighbourhood get together and you’re invited! Since it all began back in June 2009, millions of people stop what they're doing and gather with neighbours in a nationwide act of community and friendship. There will be lots of things going on at Macrobert Arts Centre to celebrate the Big Day, including live music and creative workshops and it’s all totally free. All you need to do is bring your own picnic, and if you’re happy share with friends, old and new, then all the better!
