11th October 2017

With only one week left until the opening of the Central Scotland Documentary Festival, it's time to get ready for the opening event - Brexitannia. Following the referendum vote in 2016, this documentary aims to understand the deeper feelings behind the vote to leave the EU.

It portrays the portrait of democracy in all its impossible and ugly glory. With subtle force, yet without judgement, it presents the people of a once powerful empire as they negotiate their identities in a world that is changing faster than ever and in which power appears to lie further and further from people’s own hands.

Alongside this screening, there will be an introduction and post-screening Q&A with director Timothy George Kelly. This is the perfect opportunity to get an understanding of what people really think and voice your personal opinions, as we get the conversation started about Brexit.
