We’re marking Mental Health Awareness Week with a show that puts a spotlight on the often taboo subject of anxiety – Don’t Panic! It’s Challenge Anneka. With 1 in 4 people being affected by mental illness it is so important for people to feel comfortable talking about it and this roller coaster of a one-woman show does just that - while channelling the spirit of someone for whom no challenge is too big (Anneka Rice)! Part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival this production is inspired by real life stories… and includes a bumbag, a shellsuit and a positive attitude in the face of seemingly unsurmountable challenges from actor Sophie Winter.

We're also playing host to a new play written by Lisa Nicoll - Shattered - that explores the effects of loneliness and isolation and how hard it can be to reconnect with the world after a personal loss. It's three months since Lucy and Ben lost their baby. But they're isolated from each other, their friends and the world. After Lucy is alone in their flat for a few days she has an encounter with a stranger called Katy - can this unknown woman really bring Lucy back in the world?
