Mark Beaumont - Stirling to Edinburgh to Twickenham

8th March 2019

Day 26_Mark in Mongolia

Mark Beaumont cycles from Edinburgh to Stirling on Thu 14 Mar to tell us all about his cycling tour of the world.

Join the cycle, as Mark Beaumont, Rob Wainwright, Tom Leefe and Russell Kelsey pedal with the Calcutta Cup match ball from Murrayfield to Macrobert Arts Centre, before heading on to Twickenham for an epic 500 mile, 48 hour ride.

Taking off from Murrayfield on Thu 14 Mar at 2pm, they will cycle via Edinburgh Airport to see off the Scottish Rugby team, before heading on a leisurely 40 mile route to Stirling, where you can hear Mark talk about his Around the World in 80 Days adventure at Macrobert Arts Centre.

When they arrive here, Rob will be loading up with carbs while Mark prepares for his show. Rob welcomes your company at our Cafe Bar before heading along to be humbled by Mark’s exploits.

At about 9.30pm (after the show) Mark, Tom, Rob and Russell will be setting off on their bikes again, pointing south towards Twickenham, with 40 hrs to get there for the Calcutta Cup Clash against England.

Mark, Rob, Tom and Russel would love additional riders to join en route but on the understanding that you will need to be self-sufficient and responsible for yourselves. Although they will be happy to chat, they will be on a tight schedule and need to be at Twickenham with the ball by 2pm!

For every mile you cycle, it is suggested you donate or get sponsored £1 for My Names5 Doddie Foundation. Donations can be made at

Tickets for Mark’s show, Around The World in 80 Days are priced £16.50 / £14.50 Concession and are on sale now from our Box Office.
