We are delighted to continue our Dance for Parkinson’s Scotland classes, featuring elements of ballet and contemporary dance.
Using the themes and movement from Scottish Ballet productions, specially trained Dance Artists leading participants to develop movement skills with particular focus on the fluidity of movement, balance, coordination, expression, posture, and rhythm. The classes also include activities focused on problem-solving, improvisation, vocal skills, repetition from memory, and multi-tasking, which are all key areas for people with Parkinson's.
Face-to-face classes feature live music accompaniment, with time for participants to socialise afterward with tea and coffee.
