Fair Work

Macrobert is committed to ensuring that all those who work with and for our organisation are supported through the Fair Work principles of effective voice, opportunity, security, fulfilment, and respect in the workplace.   We aim to achieve clarity and transparency in our communications and contracting with all staff and freelance personnel, to create a welcoming, equitable, inclusive and learning working environment.

Macrobert ia a Real Living Wage Employer.

Our Staff

Macrobert Arts Centre is a place for people to come together to share stories and experiences through the many performances, films, exhibitions, activities and conversations that we host each day. The people who work at Macrobert care deeply about what we do and are hugely committed to making your experience of Macrobert and what we offer, the best it can possibly be.
Below there is information on some members of our team who each lead different areas of Macrobert’s programming or business activity and who are key contacts. Click the links to find out more about them or to get in touch.
When you arrive at Macrobert you will be greeted by our Customer Service colleagues who will welcome you, give directions around the building, help with ticket enquiries, give information about access facilities, serve you at our Kiosk and guide you to your seat.  They will also be your first point of contact if you phone Macrobert. Our Duty Managers head up the customer service as well as looking after the safety and wellbeing of everyone using the building. There is always one on duty when the building is open, so do say hello, and please ask if you have any needs or queries.

At Creative Activities sessions you will be working with one of our dedicated staff team or one of the many, excellent freelance artists who bring their own particular artistic practice to widen the range of what we can offer. Let us know if you would like more details about the particular artist who will be hosting an activity.
For those who are bringing your own performance to Macrobert you will be supported by Macrobert staff who are experts in planning events, marketing, technical presentation, finance and more.
Although we have not detailed all our staff members we value everyone who works here. Thank you for taking the time to read about us and we look forward to hearing from you or meeting when you are next at Macrobert Arts Centre.
